School Meals

All food is prepared on site. All meat is Halal. There is always a choice of menu, including vegetarian options. If your child cannot eat any food because of health or religious reasons please let the office know.

The cost of school meals will be notified to parents when there are changes in the price. Dinner money must be paid in full on Mondays. Please try and provide the correct amount of money for your child's dinner. If you wish to change the dinner arrangements for your child please notify the Secretary.

If a child is absent, a credit will be carried forward to the next week. If your child arrives late after the register has been taken they should report to the school office so they can be marked late for their meal.

Please note dinner numbers are phoned over to the kitchen by 9:45 a.m. each day. If your child arrives after that time it causes difficulties in providing meals. We ask therefore to phone and let the office know your child is going to be late.

Free School Meals

Some families are entitled to free school meals. These are parents who are on income support. If you feel your child qualifies for a free school meal please ask the school office for a form.

Packed Lunches

Infants and juniors eat their packed lunches in the school dining room. Please ensure that your child brings their packed lunch in a suitable container with her/his name clearly marked.

Glass bottles, fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolates are not allowed in school. Please do not include them in your child's packed lunch.

School Meals Supervisors

At lunchtime the teachers are not on duty, except the Headteacher.

The children are supervised by school meal supervisors and it is therefore very important that children behave sensibly and co-operatively during lunchtimes. We need your support in this. If disruptive behaviour persists, the school has and will continue to ask parent(s) to take their child home for lunch.
