Spanish Day

Spanish Day

Yesterday, Monday 10th July, we had our final Spanish/Hispanic day of the year. We didn’t wear our own clothes this time, but we all had a flag to stick on our school uniform.

The theme was around the Hispanic North and South American countries. We read a story for our Literacy and had a Spanish maths lesson! We had learnt a Hispanic dance and performed it at the end of our assembly. For our lunch, we had chicken fajitas; the children thought they were delicious!

We really enjoyed the food. Some of us hadn’t tried a tortilla before! Everyone thought they were tasty and ate them all up. Some filled them with the chicken and rice. Some even bit holes in them! Some children said the food was “delicious!”.

Karen even made her own salsa and guacamole using her secret recipes! Thank you Karen!
