To help services across the Council and borough change the way they work so they are better geared towards young people / transform the way they engage with young people / deliver the solutions identified by the Young Futures Commission. The management apprentice will also play a key role in involving other young people as advocates and champions of the legacy: working with other management trainees and the wide range of Council apprentices to develop champions of Young Futures who can help embed the ways of working/supporting the next phase of work to ensure it continues to be steered by young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to become an apprentice in Operations / Departmental Management which will give participants exposure to a range of frontline services and management. Our objective is to develop future service managers in local government. Apprentices will undertake a variety of placements over two years across a range of Council departments, including corporate, front-line resident-focused services and support services.
As a reminder, we also still have lots of paid Kickstart placements available through the Council’s ‘gateway’. Applicants must be aged 16-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit.
