Meet our KS2 Teaching Staff

Mhairi Sturt – Arts Leader and Class Teacher Yr 3 Wapping Class My favourite book as a child was ‘Emil and the Detectives.’ A mother sends ten- year- Emil over 400 miles by train to visit his Grandmother in Berlin. This proves to be as foolhardy as it sounds! A great adventure/mystery.  Enjoy!
Ruhela Begum Yr 3 Highbury & Islington I loved The Elves and the Shoemaker whenI was a child.
Priscilla Boonin – Humanities Leaders and Class Teacher Yr 4 Rotherhithe My favourite book was The Lottie Project.
Rebecca Spinks – Spanish Leader and Class teacher Y 4 Caledonia Road As a child, I used to love to read Winnie the Pooh with my Winnie the Pooh teddy. As I grew older I fell in love with Jane Austen’s book, Pride and Prejudice. Both Jane Austin and Elizabeth Bennet are an inspiration still!
Tim Graves – Class Teacher Yr 5 Canada Water My favourite book as a child was ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe,’ because I loved Aslan the lion.
Nyakim Nyuot – Class Teacher Yr 5 Camden Road ‘Handa’s surprise’ by Eileen Browne was my favourite childhood book because it allowed me to have a positive self image. When I first read it, I was convinced that the story was about me and my little sister. The illustrations looked just like us! Reflecting on this, it highlights the importance of representation in books. It took me a long time to realise it was not based on me.
Will Leng – Science Leader and Class Teacher Yr 6 Kentish Town West My favourite childhood book was ‘Down With Skool’ by Geoffrey Willans and Ronald Searle. It was a guide to school life as told by a lazy pupil, Nigel Molesworth and I enjoyed its comedic poor spelling and punctuation as well as its amusing illustrations.
Constancia Manzini – Assistant head and Class Teacher Yr 6 Surrey Quays My favorite book when I was a child would have to be Handa’s Surprise.
Kathy Ahmed – PE Cover Teacher and Play Centre Manager   My favourite story was Little Red Riding Hood.
Marie Nkan – Spanish Teacher and Cover Supervisor
My favourite book was The Little Prince by Saint Exupéry. In French, Le Petit P
