At Randal Cremer we want to ensure that all children receive the very best education which will enable them to excel academically and socially when they leave our school.

We do this by ensuring that Maths and English are taught consistently every day.

In Mathematics we follow the White Rose Curriculum which is based on the principle of maths mastery through concrete learning leading to pictorial representation to abstract understanding.

In English we teach reading through a systematic programme of synthetic phonics, Read, Write Inc. This starts in Nursery and continues through EYFS and KS1 which then progresses into spelling in KS2. The Hackney programmes of Daily Supported Reading in KS1 and Destination Reader in KS2 support the development of learning to read in context and fostering an enjoyment of reading.
