  • The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes.
  • Preparing ingredients, adhering to the centre’s menu, and following food health and safety procedures.
  • Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment.

Management Level 5 Apprenticeship – Young Futures Commission

To help services across the Council and borough change the way they work so they are better geared towards young people / transform the way they engage with young people / deliver the solutions identified by the Young Futures Commission. The management apprentice will also play a key role in involving other young people as advocates and champions of the legacy: working with other management trainees and the wide range of Council apprentices to develop champions of Young Futures who can help embed the ways of working/supporting the next phase of work to ensure it continues to be steered by young people.

 

Management Level 5 Apprenticeship – Rotation-Based

This is an exciting opportunity to become an apprentice in Operations / Departmental Management which will give participants exposure to a range of frontline services and management. Our objective is to develop future service managers in local government. Apprentices will undertake a variety of placements over two years across a range of Council departments, including corporate, front-line resident-focused services and support services.

 

 

As a reminder, we also still have lots of paid Kickstart placements available through the Council’s ‘gateway’. Applicants must be aged 16-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit.

Job Description:

You’ll be enthusiastic and hard-working with a real attention to detail as you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the centre, including the open plan female changing rooms. Our leisure centres can be very busy, so you’ll need to thrive in this setting. Adhering to Health and Safety requirements and regulations are crucial, so you’ll need to be hard working and conscientious to carry out all duties to meet our high customer care standard.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of cleaning in a busy working environment with good customer care skills and knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health). If you don’t yet have it, we’ll provide full training on how to use appropriate machinery and chemicals.
