World Maths Day
By Berkan Ferit In ParentsOn Thursday 23rd March 2023, we celebrated World Maths Day across the school. In our classes, we played games to consolidate what we have learnt so far and applied our maths skills to real life scenarios.
EYFS – Focused on shapes and subitising
Year 1 – Focused on number bonds and doubling
Year 2 – Focused on number bonds and skip counting
Year 3 – Focused on fractions and tarsia puzzles
Year 4 – Focused on area/perimeter and held a times table competition
Year 5 – Celebrated Islamic influence on Maths with tessellations
Year 6 – Combined their knowledge of ratio and measurement, to create modelling dough to play with
