At Randal Cremer, we know what a big part reading at home plays in a children’s language development. Stories are a fun bonding experience for all the family and we love to instil a love of reading from an early age! That’s why this week we took our ‘Launchpad for Language’ workshop on a mini trip to Shoreditch Library!
After lunch we set of with parents and children to Hoxton Street. Some of us knew the library was there but not all of us did! Hannah read a story to us and gave us all a copy of ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ to take home and keep! Then we had great fun looking at all the thousands of books we could borrow from the library.
All of our parents helped us sign up for a library card and we could borrow two books to take home. When we get our full membership we can borrow up to 20 books! How exciting! We can’t wait to get reading.
