Sports Day

Sports Day

On Wednesday (13th July) the whole school was at Haggerston Park for Sports Day.

The day started well with Eary Years and Key Stage 1 successfully completing all of their activities. Key Stage 2 came over just before midday and the whole school had lunch altogether under the bright Hackney skies.

After lunch, Key Stage 2 started their activities but unfortunately had to stop not long after due to heavy rain. Everyone rushed under the large trees for shelter and waited for the rain to stop so they could carry on with their activities. However, the rain got heavier and the decision was made to call it a day and return back to school.

A big well done and thank you to all Key Stage 2 children, who even though were upset that they couldn’t complete all their activities, were sensible and mature enough to understand that this was nobody’s fault.

Also, thank you to all parents and carers who came to cheer on their children, all staff for helping out on the day and a special thank you to Kim Sanett and Kim Lambden for playing a big part in organising the day.
